Cooking in Manhattan with Serena Palumbo

I had an amazing afternoon filming a cooking segment at Serena Palumbo Weiss‘s (Creator & Hostess of “Cooking in Manhattan” & Finalist on “The Next Food Network Star”) home in NYC. I want to sincerely thank Serena & Kurt for opening up their home & kitchen to us. Serena is an amazing cook and gracious hostess.

Serena made a delicious Pissaladière with Swiss Chard, Asparagus, Onions, Anchiovies and topped with Scamorza.  A Pissaladière is a pizza-like tarte made with puff pastry that is made in Southern France.

Serena also made an awesome beet salad with arugula and a vinaigrette of pomegranate molasses (the secret ingredient), balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.

I want to thank my good friend Peter Ferriero for being an awesome cameraman & friend. And, of course, I want to thank my wife Elmina Scillia for her constant support. Thank you all for a great day and video shoot!  Stay tuned for the video.  Enjoy!

Living to eat,
Tony Mangia
