2 years & 70 pounds lighter!!
I can’t believe it’s been a little over 2 years since I stopped blogging here. It’s been a wild & crazy two years off with both ups and downs. I have made many great friends, and lost a few friends that I thought would always be there. But as Doris Day sang, “Que Sera, Sera. Whatever will be, will be”. Life goes on and I still have to eat, albeit less than I have in the past. Since February 2013, I’ve lost over 70 pounds. I have changed many of my eating habits, as well as taking on a new healthier lifestyle. I was going to turn my back on food writing, but why should I? It’s what I loved doing. So I figured I would pick up the pen, or in this case the keyboard, again and bring you along on my food filled journeys. I hope you’ll come along.
Living to eat,
I’m baaaaack!! I know it’s been quite some time since I last posted back in October. School & the Holidays kind of overtook me & not to mention, I’m just about done with a cold that had a vice grip on me since November. But I am back now & will try to post as much as I can. There are lots of exciting things going on. So let’s get to it.
In NYC with my pal Peter Ferriero, we’re heading to Mario Batali‘s & Joe Bastianich‘s restaurant, Babbo! I brought a BIG appetite.
I’m expanding my home cooking tonight to include the cuisine of Indian. I made a Lahori Chicken Curry with Onion & Tomato served with Basmati Rice & a Cucumber Raita. The meal was washed down with a Sweet Lassi.
Having dinner at Chef Scott Conant’s Scarpetta in the City.
After an exhausting day of meetings, I’m having dinner at Rosa Mexicano. Sitting on the patio & kicking back with a Mezcal Margarita and some Mexican food.
Heading to Chef Thomas Keller’s Per Se in the City! Very excited for a culinary marathon!
